So, does anyone read blogs anymore? I like to have a peek at what is going on in real people’s lives every now and again…and yes, after giving Facebook the ‘Big A’, I have reinstated the account. I’m a sucker.
Blogs are good. They are less interactive than social networking sites but that fact has its charm. Reading a decent blog these days is like sitting next to a fireplace on a cold night with a warming drink and a thick cigar. You get to read real information about a life rather than one sentence soundbites about a day. And don’t get me started on the overuse of Twitter. Technology is meant to improve our lives and make interaction easier, not to take over our lives and micro-manage our every move.
Ahh, I’m getting old and stodgy.
